Greatest challenges and success:
I kind of fell into real estate by accident. In 1999, my employer, McBros Fruit Co. burned to the ground and I was unemployed.
I decided to get my real estate license and work for Coldwell Banker in January of 1995, earning straight commission!
I almost gave up after working five months with no pay, a wife who stayed home with our three kids and a mortgage.
I’m glad I didn’t give up.
After working there for four years, I obtained my broker’s license and bought a franchise called The Buyer’s Agent, and the rest is history.
Everyone thought I was crazy for giving up sellers, but I knew it was a good concept
and looked forward to the challenge.
I began to purchase real estate, both residential and commercial, and decided to open a beauty salon with my partner and high school friend on 40th Avenue.
I now own 3 other salons (Bella, Lincoln Ave. Salon and Bella Day Spa).
After having a vacant building at 2201 W. Lincoln for eight months, I decided to open the Pizza Time franchise and run it with my wife and kids.
I’m losing money, but it’s still fun to work with my wife and kids. Real estate is my passion. |
